Mesothelioma, even after decades of medical research, is one of the most aggressive and least treatable of all forms of cancer.
Still going, a very small percentage of patients in remission from mesothelioma, and I can (two cases, an anecdotal report, but I've seen the film itself), and the other from the medical literature.
Dr. Demetrio Sodi-Pallares, who lived that of 1913 to 2003, was in his time as a leading electrocardiologist in the world. AProfessor at UCLA, Michigan, and Baylor medical schools, he was the author of twelve books and over 300 articles in medical journals.
In the 1960s, Dr. Sodi, as he prefers to be called, was at the Department of Medicine at Baylor College with the pioneer of bypass surgery, Dr. Michael DeBakey. Competitive with DeBakey, Sodi deal perfected an alternative procedure, a bypass to "requires no surgery and minimal medication.
During a bypass operation is something that everyone knows all aboutthe world, Dr. Sodi's glucose-insulin-potassium (GIK) infusion as valid only from the American Heart Association recognized 53 years procedure, after it is developed, even though it uses in 11 countries today. Dr. Sodi, of course, was invited to his home in Mexico City back in the age of 65. Dr. DeBakey is still on the property and 100 on 7 September again 2008th
Back in Mexico, Dr. Sodi (to the dismay of his wife) built a medical unit of the pool and flower gardensand opened its doors to the hopeless patients who had no money. One of his patients had mesothelioma.
Dr. Sodi had more or less by accident that successful treatment of heart disease often brings a remission of cancer studied. Came in the 1980s, a construction worker with mesothelioma who was not exempt from the treatment is always at the public hospital, after ordering labs and x-ray, Dr. Sodi put him on a three-step program:
Avoid all added salt and foodobtained with salt.
Eat 10 portions of fruit and vegetables a day.
And take a nap for 3 hours 5 days per week,
The nap occurring on a pulsed magnetic field mattress of the kind regularly today for back pain treatment.
This is not the kind of regimes that goes to medical school to provide you the ability to get after you reach age 65 years. It was just so simple. Dr. Sodi fee? Zero.
I was a guest of the house of Dr. Sodi is about 15 years later. Heshowed me the films of the shrinking and then disappearing pleural effusion, and then introduced me to these and many other patients. What is striking, was this man, except that he was in the polluted environment feature of Mexico City, that he had unusually rosy skin. This can not, or have nothing to do with forgiveness, but it was memorable.
So, what can I expect someone to take this away from my reading of history?
Well, it is not the only storyAdoption out there. Others are scientifically documented.
While I had great confidence in the integrity of Dr. Sodi, and still not conducted a case study in a free clinic on a deserted swimming pool in the front yard of a doctor is not really built to be on the scientific evidence.
But it is with some statement about the prevention of mesothelioma I have written about this in a later post in line. If 10 servings of fruit and vegetables a day is good, by the way, do notmy 20 would be better. Apparently there is an upper limit to the usefulness of nutrition in the prevention and possibly help mesothelioma, as I will discuss in a later post.
If all this is evidence of a response could be found, I would not post. But the fact that a carefully documented the adoption of mesothelioma has been documented in the medical literature.
Dr Roger KA Allen of Wesley Medical Center in Brisbane, Australia, documented the case of a 61-year-oldWomen with mesothelioma, which went into remission within months, and has for years remained in remission. (You can find the complete text of the publication, "Apparent Complete Spontaneous Regression one Multifocal Malignant mesothelioma of the pleura, here.)
Dr. Allen notes that he has treated over 600 mesothelioma patients and that several passes of the biopsy to ensure that the woman had (1) mesothelioma and (2) it went into remission without Treatment at all.
By no treatment, wrote Dr. Allen, that there is no alternative medicine, and no change in diet, and no prayer - but it seems unlikely that he really could account for these variables. The Australian patients were in remission for five years, was when the paper was published in 2007.
Have had and there are also people, mesothelioma, unable to remain in remission, but who have lived a very long time. The Royal Brompton Hospital in London reported a> Mesothelioma patients were in remission for six years, it has been cut to a single tumor, and then lived for another six years, a total of twelve, and was still alive at the time of publication of the Green Paper. You (an excerpt from this report can be read here.)
Mesothelioma is a serious diagnosis, but it is not entirely hopeless. Do not count yourself out.
